Description
Salty.com is an interactive entertainment website where streamers and their communities can watch, wager, and win real money on simulated horse races built in Unity and powered by real horse racing data!
Streamers partner with salty for revenue sharing and get their own channel which links with their existing Twitch or Youtube steam and chat.
Races in Saltyverse are based on real race data at real horse racing tracks, provided by wagering partner Xpressbet, but with simulated visuals built in Unity, allowing for real money betting if legal in the users location.
My Contributions
Joined Next Generation Esports as a Producer and stood up an R&D team of web and software developers to build the company's first game project
Trained the team in Scrum and drove documentation of initial product definition
Assisted with team growth and spinoff into it's own company: Saltyverse, LLC
Served as Product Owner of new product, leading two Scrum teams through 50+ two-week sprints
Executed market research and user testing to create a new product backlog full of user stories
A/B tested prototypes and ads to determine the viability of the product and features
Created an agile product roadmap based on long term company goals and tracked the team's velocity against it
Led recruiting efforts when the team needed new internal resources
Negotiated external development contracts with companies like Blind Squirrely Games and 5518 and managed their pipeline
